HRC offers individual and shared private music lessons at participating schools across the Hunter Valley. Lessons are provided by qualified music educators employed under Department of Education guidelines.

To enrol in music lessons at your school, complete an enrolment form from your school office or Contact Us directly. Not all instruments are available at all schools — check availability through your school or with the HRC office.

Hunter Regional Conservatorium’s School Band Program offers students an ideal opportunity to begin learning a musical instrument as part of a collaborative ensemble. Offered at selected schools, the program includes weekly band rehearsals and shared or individual lessons. Students also participate in additional activities, including school and public performances, and workshops with visiting bands.

HRC also offers a range of classroom music programs for schools. Schools can choose tailored programs, such as choir training, percussion groups, violin and strings, and guitar lessons, or offer general classroom musical education.
