Lunchtime concerts at Calvary

With thanks to Ravenswoth Operations (Glencore), the Upper Hunter Conservatorium of Music is delighted to be able to take our lunchtime concert series to Calvary Muswellbrook Retirement Community. This Month we took our scholarship recipients Pheobe, Finn, Leonie, Emily  and Mia along to perform the residents.

There wasn’t a spare seat in the house when Mr Tony Neate hosted this wonderful showcase. The afternoon of laughs, music and monologue highlighted the collaboration and conflict of Gilbert and Sullivan, and featured conservatorium staff, students and community. We were delighted to have Cecilia Connell with us for the afternoon.

September lunchtime concert

Resident Singing teacher Nate entertained us with some musical theatre classics accompanied by our Director, Wendy. Gillian, Cello and Piano teacher, accompanied by Vincent, presented us with her repertoire of Suzuki pieces as she prepares to qualify for her Suzuki Teaching certificate. Later that afternoon we took the show on the road:  with thanks to Ravensworth  Operations, we are now able to take our concert to Calvary Muswellbrook Retirement Community on the first Friday of every month.
