Upper Hunter Showband

Formed in 2006 the Upper Hunter Showband is a marching band that performs at events locally, nationally and internationally.

In January of 2008 the band undertook a tour of the United States where they performed as part of the world famous Rose Parade in Pasadena,   California.  Other performances for the band include the Mattara Festival in Newcastle as well as events in the Upper Hunter Region. Future performances include a proposed tour to Canada in 2009 to perform in the Calgary Stampede and Parade.

 

Participation is open to brass, wind and percussion players in Year 6 and above.  A part of the Showband is the Upper Hunter Showgirls Drill Squad - a collaboration  between the Conservatorium and the Scone Academy of Dance and Performing Arts.
